Health Spending Account
for health and dental expenses not covered by the benefit plans specified of:

Addition of: The Authority shall cover (100) per cent of the cost
incurred with providing benefits to Residents who are in need of assessment
and/or treatment and require assistance on compassionate grounds. Administration shall be through the
Alberta Medical Association in conjunction with the Compassionate Expense
Program.
2004-2007
·
The Authority shall
provide a Health Spending Account $100 per year for each Resident. Effective
January 1, 2006, the Health Spending Account will be $300 for each Resident.

The Authority shall pay
to PARA 0.8 percent of the payroll
applicable to Residents under this Agreement on a monthly basis. PARA shall
apply such payment toward the purchase and administration of a Long Term
Disability Plan for its members.
2002-2004
·
Addition of: The Authority shall provide a Health Spending Account
$100 per year for each Resident, commencing no later than January 1, 2004. The
Health Spending Account may be utilized by the Residents for the purposes of
receiving reimbursement for health and dental expenses that are eligible
medical expenses in accordance with the Income Tax Act and are not covered by
the benefits plan.

·
The Authority shall pay
(75) percent of the monthly premium for the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan
for Residents and their dependents, excluding sponsored premiums.

The Authority shall pay
(75) percent of the monthly premium for the Alberta Blue Cross for Residents
and their dependents, excluding sponsored premiums.
·
The Authority shall provide a basic
dental plan equivalent to the Basic Alberta Blue Cross Dental Plan for each
participating Resident and their dependants and the Authority shall pay (75)
percent of the monthly premiums of such plan. The dental plan shall consist of
(80) percent basic coverage, (50) percent orthodontic coverage, and shall be
available to each Resident and their dependants.

The Authority shall pay
to PARA 0.353 percent of the payroll applicable to Residents under this
Agreement on a monthly basis. PARA shall apply such payment toward the purchase
of a Long Term Disability Plan for its members.

The above coverage shall note be
interrupted when a Resident changes Authorities in the Province of Alberta.
