Chief or Administrative Residents

2004-2007

       A Resident designated as a Chief or Administrative Resident by the appropriate Program Director to perform significant administrative functions in regard to the activities of a group of no less than 4 Residents shall earn a supplement for such designation at the rate of $180 for each approved and filled residency position in the program on September 1 of that year, to a maximum annual amount of $3,600 for each program.  This amount shall be paid in at least two installments, beginning no later than October 1 and ending no later than April 1.

       Addition of: When the Resident is Chief Resident for only part of the year or when tow or ore Residents act as Co-Chief Residents, the amount shall be pro-rated according to the time spent in that category. 

1997-1997

       A Resident designated as Chief Resident by the appropriate Program Director shall earn premium pay for such designation at the following rate:

o       $2,625 per annum for programs with 20 or more residency positions

o       $1,575 per annum for programs with 10 or more but less than 20 residency positions

o       $525 per annum for programs with 4 or more but less than 10 residency positions
